This piece has been in our fireplace since "forever". Pictures of the grate are with and without the camera flash. I plugged it in quickly because the cord is so old. Comes with really cool "coal" which looks like glass.

The grate is very heavy and appears to be cast iron. Measures about 19" across x 12" deep.
