There is no assembly at all. We have this in a pretty large open room and it kicks out plenty of heat without the heat even being at the highest setting.

Others have commented that the heater is noisy and I would agree but it's really not a big deal and certainly wouldn't stop me from purchasing. The look & feel of this candle Heater I have it in my RV bedroom on a shelf. The candle lighting is awesome, there is 6 setting 3 for brightness & 3 with a flicker affect. & there is a remote, so I can turn it on and off from bed!! The Heater puts out a good amount of heat and has a thermostat. So far I cannot figure out how to turn off the candle light and just have the heater on. The brightness of the candles, even on the dim setting is bothersome because I'm used to sleeping in the dark. Which I could probably deal with except there is a noise when the heater turns on and off. It is a loud humming noise coming from the back metal panel. I'm hoping I can safely figure out how to secure it. For this reason I might be returning this item. I bought this as a cute space heater. I know this was originally made to go inside a fireplace. If I had a fireplace or a place in the front of the RV this would be a keeper. So far all my friends who have seen it asked where did I get it!! It does, however, buzz from time to time. Candles have a lovely flicker, or you can have a steady glow if you prefer. The candles have a plastic appearance, but not really noticably so when in the fireplace.
